The kitchen and master bathroom have been reconfigured and completely remodeled with all new cabinetry, fixtures and finishes as well as overall functional and aesthetic upgrades.

- Significant reconfiguration of the existing space, which allows the kitchen to look and function as a much larger space, in keeping with the large size of the house. The changes include:
- Relocating the door from the garage, which now enters into a mudroom adjacent to the new kitchen.
- Straightening the back stair that leads from the kitchen to the second floor, to improve functionality for traffic flow and island configuration.
- Relocating the pantry.
- Replacing an awkwardly designed triangular island with a large new rectangular island, improving the work triangle and the island seating.

- Eliminating the dated tub-in-tile-surround, in favor of a free-standing pedestal tub.
- Replacing dense black tile with light, bright tile throughout.
- Reconfiguring the entry from the sitting room, for more privacy and sense of scale.
